Love is in the air, as Valentine Day is right up here. So, on such romantic occasion let's cherish the successful Bollywood jodis, who has been driving us crazy everytime with their magical chemistry on-screen.
Shahrukh Khan and Kajol: You simply can't get away when Shahrukh and Kajol is at the helm; such is the charisma of this jodi. And it is the only jodi of Bollywood to have a cent percent record at Box-office. Right from their first film together BAZZIGAR, followed by KARAN ARJUN, DDLJ, KKHH, K3G all have been mega hits. And now the jodi is once again set to spread its charm with MY NAME IS KHAN.

Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit: Late 80s to early 90s was ruled by the magnetic pair Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit. TEZAAB was the first film to highlight this jodi and it was a superhit. With that there was no looking back and they gave numerous hits like BETA, RAM LAKHAN, JAMAI RAJA, PARINDA, etc they were last seen together in semi hit PUKAAR, since then we haven't seen the duo together. Let's hope that this lovable jodi makes a comeback soon!

Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif: When they first appeared together on-screen in the film HUMKO DEEWANA KAR GAYE, the good-looking pair went unnoticed and the film was a dud. But post that the couple emerged as the most sought after couple of Bollywood, giving back-to-back hits like NAMASTEY LONDON, WELCOME, SINGH IS KINNG, DE DANA DAN. Their upcoming film TEES MAAR KHAN is already touted as the next superhit in the making.

Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai: This is a fresh hot pair of Bollywood with the backing of 2 blockbusters DHOOM:2 and JODHAA AKBAR. Though their jodi is only 2 film-old (and 3rd film Sanjay Leela Bhansali's GUZAARISH in the making), B-town is already betting it to be the next SRK-Kajol jodi, in the following decade.

Shahid Kapur and Amrita Rao: Shahid may have been paired with several Bollywood hotties (from Kareena to Genelia) but makes best jodi with Amrita Rao. Though they have worked in very few films together but still they are touted as a hit pair in Industry circles. Their hit films include ISHQ VISHK, VIVAAH, etc.

Govinda and Karishma Kapoor: After SRK-Kajol, the other jodi which ruled 90's was Govinda-Karishma. It was their excellent, sizzling chemistry, which made an ordinary outing also extraordinary. They gave us hits like RAJA BABU, HERO NO.1, SAAJAN CHALE SASURAL, KHUDDAR, ANARI, COOLIE NO.1 and many more. Now that the 2 actors Karishma and Govinda, who sort of took a sabbatical from films, are vying for a comeback, we would love to see the jodi reunite on screen. They can call the film Jodi Number 1, for sure!


Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla: Right from their first film QAYAMAT SE QAYAMAT TAK Aamir-Juhi created quite a buzz with their rocking chemistry. However, this jodi worked together only in the initial years of their career giving hits like HUM HAIN RAHI PYAAR KE, ISHQ, etc. Indeed it's been a long long time we saw them together. Wish someday they team up once again!

Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha: Little needs to be said about Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha. Big B-Rekha was the one couple whose films benefited mostly because of the gossip columns. It was said that their films would start getting housefull right from the Monday before the release. This evergreen jodi gave the industry hits like MR. NATWARLAL, DO ANJAANE, MUKADDAR KA SIKANDAR and SUHAAG to name a few. Their last film together was the super hit film SILSILA, after which they never appeared together on screen and this golden couple of Bollywood became history.

Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh: The real life couple Rishi-Neetu was a hit Bollywood pair of their times. Many of Rishi Kapoor's successful films had Neetu Singh opposite him. Their on-screen chemistry was liked and admired by everyone in the industry. They were young and restless and this worked in their favour more than anything else. They started with KHEL KHEL MEIN and went on to deliver hits like KABHIE KABHIE, AMAR AKBAR ANTHONY, RAFOO CHAKKAR, etc.

Dharmendra and Hema Malini: They were the most electrifying pair of 70's. Perhaps the one thing that worked for these two was their off-screen chemistry. Hema Malini's chemistry with practically all her heroes was amazing. Yet when it came to Dharamendra, it was special. And it showed on the screen. This pair created ripples in the industry with the instant success of their first film SEETA AUR GEETA. Then audience also loved this talkative tangewali and Veeru in SHOLAY. SHOLAY was enough to make them a hit jodi of Bollywood.

Raj Kapoor and Nargis: This is the oldest jodi of Bollywood yet one of the most magical ones. People still swear about Raj and Nargis' romantic pair on-screen. There probably hasn't been another couple that looked so damn good on the screen. You still love watching their movies. Though AAG saw Nargis paired with Raj Kapoor for the first time, it was the couple's second film together, BARSAAT, which made a mark. They went on to do several hit films like SHREE 420, CHORI CHORI, and many more. The picturisation of 'Pyaar hua iqrar hua' perhaps makes it the most memorable love songs of all times.
